Rachel is a 24 year old college student living in eastern Idaho. She isn't used to having snowy winters and doesn't know what to expect with winter approaching. She would like a quick website she can visit to check the weather every day before she walks to class that isn't cluttered with information she doesn't care about. She just wants a quick glance as she walks out the door. She doesn't care too much about the details about the weather. The simpler, the better.

John is a 18 year old high school graduate that has been growing more and more interested in weather. He likes to look into the finer details about the weather around his area. He has found himself visiting multiple different sites to get all the information he needs. These different sites vary in detail, readability, and eas of use. John wishes he had one website he could go to that he could count on for the details he needs that also presents the information in a more easy to read way.

Scenarios

Scenario 1

Rachel is getting dressed for her day of classes and doesn't know how many layers to put on. She looks outside and can't really tell if it's cold, or really cold. She walks back over to her charging phone and goes to her bookmarks and selects the link to mistweather.com. The first thing she sees on the page is the current temperature for her location, with an overview of how much warmer it's going to get in the next few hours. After a quick glance, Rachel realizes it's going to be a lot colder than she though, and goes back to her closet to grab a heavier coat.

Scenario 2

John has heard his parents talking about a storm that is heading towards Soda Springs. Being an emerging storm enthusiast, John opens his favorite weather site, Mist, on his laptop computer. He knows there is a heading for Soda Springs, as well as a storm center he can visit to get all the details he wants to know about the incoming serious weather. He navigates to mistweather.com and selects the storm center button on the navigation bar. On this page, he can see the details about the storm along with related stories in the area.

Scenario 3

Stacy has heard of a cool website from her friend, Rachel, to look at the weather without all the crazy details shoved in your face. After hearing about it and visiting the sites homepage, she sees some relevant articles and content that peak her interest about the weather in her area. She clicks on a link to an article to get more information about the weather for the upcoming week and finds herself more interested in finding out how to use the site to its full potential.

Scenario 4

John is out and about with his friends at the skate part and realized some clouds rolling in. His friends are worried that it's about to rain and ruin their day. John knows that he can check Mist on his phone's internet browser to check for the hourly forecast. He opens the site in portrait mode, revealing the current weather conditions on the top of the page. Curious, he turns his phone sideways to landscape mode, hoping to be able to see more information. Sure enough, as the phone turns into landscape mode, more information including the hourly forecast is shown. From here, he can see that there is no rain expected in his area. No need to worry.

Scenario 5

Rachel is planning a trip with her friends to Preston, Idaho to go hiking. They are trying to figure out what day would have the best weather for them to go out. Rachel goes to her bookmark for Mist and goes to the Preston button on the navigation menu on the top of the page on her home computer. From there, she can see the current weather conditions, as well as a daily forecast lower on the page. From this section, she can see that this coming Thursday is going to have the best weather for hiking.
